George M. Sakakeeny, CFA currently is
the Managing Member of Colonial Square Ventures LLC, a real estate investment
and consulting firm, as well as a partner in Heritage Parkway Partners LLC and
Heritage Parkway Development Group LLC.
Previously, George Sakakeeny was with Champion Partners Group, Ltd, a
real estate development and investment firm where he was the Senior Partner
responsible for initiating the company’s retail platform. Prior to joining Champion Partners, he was
Director of Retail Operations, Central Region for the Archon Group, a Goldman
Sachs Company and a Vice President and Portfolio Manager in Goldman Sachs’ Real
Estate Principal Investment Area. George
was a Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Portfolio Management at Crown
American Realty Trust, a regional mall real estate investment trust and a
Director at Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, Inc., a pension fund
advisor.
His 30 years of
diversified commercial real estate experience spans multiple asset types, with
the heaviest emphasis on retail and office properties. He has a demonstrated record of
accomplishment with portfolio and asset management, acquisitions, dispositions,
development, redevelopment and loan origination. Mr. Sakakeeny has completed over $2 billion
of transactions, participated in the development of over four million square
feet of retail, office, medical office and assisted living/memory care
product. He has co-managed a $7 billion
portfolio of regional and non-regional mall assets as well as managed multiple
portfolios ranging from $100 million to $3 billion.
George received
his Masters of Business Administration from The Wharton School and his Bachelor
of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of
Massachusetts. He is a Chartered
Financial Analyst and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). Extremely active with ICSC, including being
the former Texas State Director as well as the Chairperson and Co-Chairperson
of the Texas Conference. He is an ICSC Ambassador.
